Donna Dafi's latest release, “Good Morning,” makes a strong statement about survival, confidence, and self-definition. The song is about being judged and treated unfairly, then using that experience to fuel a new chapter. “Walked through / The fires and came out golden” is a great example of the triumphant spirit. Dafi’s journey along the track moves from an independence struggle to celebrating the life she’s built on her own terms. The imagery of ascension, of cleansing and 'bathing in glory' lends a triumphant quality to the song. That last warning to be aware of the prize definitely makes an impression.
