We Are Atlas' latest release, “Inked,” explores memory, dreams, and everything left unsaid. The narrator stumbles over his words and says that the story has been around for years. One of the most notable questions in the poem is “Would you think, that I’d inked my heart by now?” which shows how much emotion lies beneath the surface. Bleeding through pages is a recurring motif that strips the song down without overcomplicating the message. “Inked” is an artist speaking to the words he’s been trying to set free for years.
