Diddy faces new lawsuit for alleged assault amid Kanye West collaboration

Sean "Diddy" Combs may not be new to making headlines, but this time, the conversation is darker than ever. The hip-hop mogul, who is already facing a series of troubling allegations, is being sued over claims that he assaulted a street performer in 2022. Diddy allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted an anonymous singer, referred to as "John Doe," in a bathroom after a purported talent scouting meeting at the mogul's home, according to the lawsuit. The allegations are shocking and graphic, with more details at TMZ.

But as Diddy's legal troubles increase, an unlikely ally, Kanye West, has come to his defense. Never afraid of controversy, Ye has gone one step further in defending his peer, suggesting that he and Sean Don should get to work. This led to a deal involving Yeezy and half of every dollar going directly to the embattled Bad Boy mogul. Whether true loyalty or a headline-grabbing distraction is anyone's guess, it adds another level to an already chaotic scenario.

According to the lawsuit, John Doe was singing on the street when a "talent scout" who worked with Diddy approached him in November 2022. The scout brought the singer to the mogul's home, a seeming once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The singer said he took the deal, and when he got there, he said he was handed a drink while talking to Diddy. What happened after that is at the heart of the lawsuit, and John Doe claims that he was drugged and then assaulted twice in a bathroom.

The details, which court documents have called "gruesome," have further fueled scrutiny of Diddy. The hip-hop star has not responded to this particular accusation in public, but it's not the first time he is essaying a response to allegations in what has now become a long list against him.

Kanye West has not wavered through the storm that surrounds Diddy. Ye had called Diddy his "idol" in a statement, adding he would have his back if things went from bad to worse. If you believe him, the business-sharing proposition between Sean Don and Yeezy splits half the proceeds straight into the Bad Boy mogul's pocket.
