SUUNCAAT's latest release, "the wash," is a banal laundry day, an unexpectedly relatable slice of everyday life. The filling, pushing, taking, and carrying of the bag across the street go on familiarly, but its repetitive "Some things never change" gives those mundane moments a larger meaning. Funny the indecision and funny the decision to leave the laundry behind with the threat that it is stolen. But it has a repetitive feel, like it was done on purpose to feel human. The wash finds music in the small, repetitive frustrations of life, the repetition of Looks like we're at it again.
