SHEAL's latest release, "Press Rewind," is draped in a chilled musical backdrop, with pretty piano chords and chilled hi-hats creating a sound that's reflective, but not heavy. This song is about a relationship that should have worked out but didn't, starting with the wish to "press rewind" and go back to days when things were better in the youth of years gone by. The lines about leaving, and about taking a deep breath and letting the salty air settle, create a spacious emotional mood. "There's intimacy there," SHEAL says, so the song is like a private chat with the past, acceptance and longing sitting side by side quietly.
