Barzo offers a new interpretation of the iconic Raul Seixas track "Mosca," in an exciting mix of moombahton, dembow, digital cumbia and Latin electronic music. The result is a salute to the irreverent spirit of the original, but with a distinctly contemporary pulse. A playful yet slightly unruly atmosphere is created by a hypnotic bassline, synths and intricate vocal treatment. The repeated image of “I am the fly / That landed in your soup” remains wonderfully mischievous, but Barzo’s production lends it an air of being built for movement. It’s a high-energy reimagining that bends genres with a lot of personality.
