Subjective has unveiled a new track entitled "LOST," featuring Tom Misch and Frida Touray, in anticipation of their upcoming album

The legendary DJ and producer Goldie and the respected engineer and producer James Davidson make up the production duo Subjective. They have a new single out called "LOST," which features TOM MISCH and FRIDA TOURAY. The song is from their new album, THE START OF NO REGRET, which comes out on March 25th on Three Six Zero Recordings/Sony Music. You can pre-save it now.

The duo's latest single from their upcoming second album features amazing vocals from Frida Touray, a London-based soul singer who has received a lot of praise, and guitar work from Tom Misch, one of the biggest names in London's alt-jazz scene. The song uses breakbeat samples and strange, haunting melodies to make a piece of music that stands out on the record as an ethereal and uplifting new cut that goes through different styles and dives deep into musical rabbit holes.

The album has some really exciting and diverse names on it, like neo-soul up-and-comer Greentea Peng, American jazz and soul singer Lady Blackbird (on "Sunlight"), and British blues singer Natalie Duncan. It shows off both Goldie and James Davidson's rich history and high level of skill, as well as how they can work together to make something so cohesive and forward-thinking. The sound they make is partly due to their 18-month residence. TThey have been bouncing ideas between Davidson's studio, located on the south coast in Bournemouth, England, and Goldie's house in Phuket, Thailand. TThe album showcases two songwriters and producers at the peak of their abilities, responding to a year and a half spent in very different environments yet facing similar challenges.

Virgil Abloh used the album's lead single, "Dassai Menace," which came out with the double A-side "Fathoms," to score his Louis Vuitton SS22 fashion film "Amen Break." GAn oldie walked in the accompanying fashion show. Goldie will also be on BBC Radio 1 all month long in February 2022, along with famous DJs like Sama' Abdulhadi, Folamour, Or:la, LCY, and Scratcha DVA.
