The Heptatonics have an honest message of resilience and perseverance with their new single, “If You Only Knew,” a roots reggae anthem that speaks to the struggles people carry behind closed doors. “I love the emotional honesty in its soulful vocals and uplifting message. The repeated line, “If you only knew the troubles I’ve seen,” gives the song a very personal quality, and the imagery of crossing oceans and climbing mountains adds to its determination. This is a feel good record for me and lets the listener know that surviving the hard times is a victory to celebrate.
