Melina Berrie captures the excitement and uncertainty of falling in love on “trust fall,” a heartfelt release about choosing to trust someone with your most powerless self. I especially like the way the lyrics use driving, falling, and open-door imagery to convey emotional surrender. There is something genuinely romantic about the willingness to let another person take the wheel without constantly worrying about what could happen.
