Taylor Nauta’s latest release, "You’re Not Here," looks at the silence after the death of a spouse. The first image that comes to mind is a supper still in the oven, made for two when there’s only one. And that little bit of domesticity, the routines you shared, can make the loss painfully real. Alone, eating for two, is painful. Just think. It reminds us that loss exists even in the simplest moments. I really liked the song's heart: “It’s colder now that you’re not here,” which feels so human in its loneliness.
