Phil Lentz’s latest release, "Bounce," is that kind of jazz that makes you want to sit back, relax, and savor every note. The lone features Dave Mullen on sax, with warm, catchy piano chords, a cool bassline, and lovely crashes and splashes that give the arrangement its character. I like how everything is put together, and it’s not overdone. It has a natural swing and makes for a nice, easy listen for jazz lovers seeking upbeat, smooth, and refreshingly uncomplicated jazz.
