Jack Dahlqvist turns driving guitars into a soaring moment on latest release “Rooftops”

Jack Dahlqvist’s latest release, “Rooftops,” fast drums and dirty guitar licks immediately grabbed my attention. The vocals match the arrangement’s more intimate feel, and the track still has an energetic edge. I love how the guitars follow the vocals, they add depth without taking away from the song's message. 'If I can change your life I'd never' softens the sound with stars shining on somebody, nice emotional tension. “Rooftops” is a great song because it’s upbeat but doesn’t sacrifice the lyrics. I want to come back to it.
