TOY PARLOUR's latest release, "Galactic Girl," is a devotion to strangeness and her colorful romantic universe. The lyrics move between surrender, obsession, and the feeling of being drawn to someone whose presence makes all the difference. "Everybody wants to be your friend" is a catchy hook. Still, the crowd's obsession is contrasted with the narrator's more intimate relationship, "Our galaxies are different / But you and me we're already there. This cosmic language gives the song its personality, and the image of leaving obscurity and drowning in passion gives it a surreal edge. “Galactic Girl” is a love song told through a gloriously eccentric telescope.
