SORENIA turns a family christmas tradition into “Christmas World”

SORENIA's "Christmas World" begins with everyday life. The song comes from the experiences of a Swiss family with two children who run a small village grocery store, from a familiar seasonal routine and an ambitious idea to create something new.

As Christmas approaches each year, familiar holiday tunes become part of the family's long workdays, playing over and over from dawn to dusk. Year after year, after hearing those classics, the idea came to write a brand new Christmas song. Something contemporary, universal, and able to connect listeners beyond borders. What is particularly adorable about "Christmas World" is the story behind its making. The project wasn't conceived as a distant musical goal. It grew out of the family's everyday life, where music was already a familiar part of the home and where earlier musical projects had provided experience.

The song has a particularly inclusive base in the desire to make something modern and universal. Christmas music has a strong tradition, but SORENIA's concept takes a different angle on the season, asking what a new Christmas song could sound and feel like, one that is capable of reaching people beyond geographical borders. "Christmas World" is as much about the journey behind the music as it is about the song itself. It started with familiar tunes, family life, and a daring idea, then blossomed into a new Christmas creation in a matter of weeks.
