Pink Jagg's latest release, "ZOOM," talks about the frustration and movement from breaking out of stagnation. "I want it new / I wanna zoom / Fast forward / Fast forward" is both a hook and a mission statement, the song's impatience with the state of rap today. Catchy guitars and synths give the track more character and make its central idea hit home immediately. Pink Jagg wants to break out of the mundane, he craves something different, something more rapid and novel. "ZOOM" is disillusionment powering ambition, and you can hear the song determined to leave yesterday behind and move toward whatever's next.
