Max Bien Kahn's latest release, "List II," completely derails the quotidian to-do list through romance, spontaneity, and playful desire. It starts innocently enough with, "What's on your list today?" before plans rapidly unravel into a flurry of intimate distractions. He follows his mate from the bath to the moon to the kitchen. He has coffee with him, confesses, "I never checked anything off." That's the fun of the song, that comic juxtaposition. By the time we get to 'Let's go to Mexico,' the list is less about errands and more about following love wherever it may lead.
