Dave De Ana's latest release, "Edge Of Fire" is a very confident use of the melodic rock language of the 1980's. Strong structure, synths, punchy hooks, and short guitar solos. This one has a lot of Bon Jovi-style energy, especially in its clean rock attitude and immediate instrumental attack. De Ana keeps it simple. The hooks and guitar set the song's personality from the start. There is definite memories here, and "Edge Of Fire" not only looks back but also uses familiar melodic rock building blocks to create an honest, energetic modern release.
