Alex Base dishes up a light, inviting pop-lounge-funk tune in "El Diablo." The setup is acoustic flute, guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, light drums, percussion, and effects, played with an easy groove. The instrumental mix adds a nice touch, and the flute has a distinct feel against the rhythmic bed. It's fun, it's going at a good clip, and it's not a stretch. El Diablo is fantastic for video backgrounds and playlists. It has a bright musical personality that can hold a scene without losing so much of that personality that it can't stand on its own.
