Saliva x Judge & Jury’s latest release, “Breaking Through” is about the difficult road to sobriety, based on Bobby Amaru’s struggles with mental health, addiction, and inner turmoil before he found resilience. Saliva’s new album title track has that struggle in words that feel exposed and deeply personal, "I feel / Like a ghost in my own skin / Waging a war / That was lost before it began / But these scars run deep / They tether me tight” The accompanying video adds to the message, following someone caught in addiction as his life is taken from him outside the prison walls. It is a strong image of struggle, survival, and making a way through.
