“Limits” by Bob G x Lua Mendonca combines the Portuguese and English languages over R&B, Latin-inspired melodies, Neo-Soul, and Hip-Hop. The melodic parts are followed by a rap verse, which makes the track varied but intimate. At the heart of the song is its bilingualism, with the two languages blending into a warm R&B setting.
And that sense of intimacy is also born from its origins, made in Marbella in the early days of the romantic and creative relationship between Lua Mendonca and Bob Herlings. The project, written, composed, and recorded independently by the duo, extends beyond the song itself, with both artists taking on production, recording, visual direction, and the music video.
