Binary_boy’s latest release, “Skandal im Savoy” is about attitude and motion, with a guitar driven industrial, electro and alternative-rock edge. The bilingual writing adds a little individuality but the repeated chant “Ska Ska Skandal im Savoy” makes the song a readily identifiable centre. Its playful, chaotic nature is evident in lines like “Let me be your manic boy” and “Lass‘ uns das gemeinsam dancen”. “Skandal im Savoy” is made for letting loose rather than standing still, a collision of rock energy, electronic textures and theatrical delivery.
