The creative inspiration for this single, Ocean, originates from ISIS, Deftones, Pantera, Gojira, and Silverchair. Rather than crudely stacking disparate musical source materials, the track fuses these influences to produce an oppressive sound brimming with inherent tension.
The most prominent characteristic of this work is its overall atmosphere, which unfolds like a sweeping, onrushing storm. Dense instrumentation collides with weird negative space, pulling at dual senses of destruction and introspection.
