A!MS commences a new era with the launch of his inaugural album, "Peak Season"

A!MS releases "Peak Season," a nine-track statement that serves as a manifesto. This is when the artist officially changes his musical name to "Global Street." The project, which came out on August 1, has a big goal: to take us to a place where UK street grit meets Mediterranean warmth and dance-floor energy. The album seems like a map of A!MS' life between London roads and Cypriot coasts, and it makes it clear what they want to do.

"Peak Season" mixes hip hop, UK garage, grime, and Mediterranean sounds to make something that sounds both familiar and new. The artist defines Global Street as a genre for producers outside of traditional influences, collectors, and anybody who lives between cultures, and the album's creation taps into that boundary-breaking spirit. Moments of lyrical tenderness coexist with streetwise beats, making the project as at home on a late-night playlist as it is on a full summer stage.

The record's guest list demonstrates its ambition: collaborations with Julian Marley, ArrDee, and Ramz expand the album's breadth, while co-production with Cool & Dre and contributions from Antaeus, Michelin Shin, and Golden provide heavyweight aural polish. Tracks like the single with ArrDee point to danceable Afrobeat-tinged rhythms, while the Marley collaboration tries for uplift and unification; combined, they demonstrate how Global Street can accommodate both the personal and the epic.

Made mostly in Cyprus, the artist described it as a "music industry desert" that paradoxically nurtured independence. “Peak Season” sounds like someone utilized distance to improve their eyesight. A!MS has created an album that seeks to be claimed by a community: fans, other artists, and tastemakers are asked to assist Global Street in evolving from a label into a movement.
